Zero Waste

Kay Marsh visited us from the City Council to help us explore how we can reduce our rubbish.

An old pair of jeans turned into a bag! Imagine a library book bag made out of your old jeans!

A tin can phone? How could this work?

Kay told us that for all the rubbish created by all us New Zealanders for 1 month it could fill one rugby field wide

and 30 stories high! That is a lot of rubbish!!

How do you reduce rubbish at your home? Comment below to go in the draw for 2 KC coupons, 1 team player and 1 thinker!

  1. We've just found this post, and have loved looking at all the photos of things people made! What clever kids!
Last weekend we tidied our garage and we made piles of things we could reuse and recycle. We have lots of clothes that are too small for us now, so we are going to give them away.
