ODERINGS SCHOOL GARDENS SHOW

This week Mrs Coster, Ms McKendry, Ms Sutherland and Mr Tomlin (from the Kiwi Team) supervised the construction of our Oderings School Gardens entry at the Woolston Club.
Our garden design began last year in Term 4, when the 2015 Pukekos submitted designs for the garden theme "Our World". Many of the initial designs included globe motifs, native plants, rivers, mountains, and our local farm crops. The final design incorporated all those wonderful creative ideas! Last week, the Pukekos donated and painted recyclable plastic bottles, which have become a rainbow (in our school whanau/house group colours) as a backdrop to the garden.

Here are some photos of the different School Gardens entries - which are currently on show at the Woolston Club... head on over this weekend to vote for the People's Choice Award!

PLASTIC BOTTLES

Today you will have received a notice about sending Coke bottles to school on Friday for making flowers for the Oderings Garden Competition.  We mentioned Coke bottles in the notice, but any bottle that has that sort of lobed base is fine.

Please send empty bottles to school either tomorrow or Friday. Let us know if you can help us out on Friday at 2pm. Thank you.

BIG THANK YOU'S

From the Pukeko team teachers:

Many, many, many thanks to all the wonderful parents who have assisted us in any way with Pukeko team activities and events over the first few busy weeks of the new school year. The triathlon, our camps and the swimming sports, along with the Community Fun Day and the meet the teacher evening were all well-supported by you - thank you.

We really rely on your support to help events run smoothly and make them the best they can be for our children and we greatly appreciate all your help.

Please get in touch with your child's teachers if you can offer to help in the class this year or in any other way, eg helping with testing, making resources, returning books

Once again, a thousand thank yous from the Pukeko team teachers!
